Subject: Richmond Civil War Publishing

I am beginning a research project on publishing in Confederate Richmond
for a course I'm taking on the history of the book in America. What I am
seeking is information regarding any publishing houses that existed in
Richmond during the war. Are there any archival records of any such
operations in either the Library of Virginia or the Virginia Historical
Society? Can anyone suggest appropriate secondary sources that would help
me focus in on my topic? I would truly appreciate any thoughts on this
subject.

Thanks, Graham Dozier (grahamd477@aol.com)
