Dolores:
there are many "errors" in the film, GLORY. Perhaps the most glaring is the
scene where a black soldier is whipped. This would never happen. The time
frame for the creation of the 54th Mass. has been greatly condenced for the
film. Purists will comment on rifle serial numbers, and a north to south
attack on Ft Wagner.
Jim McPHerson wrote a great review and commentary about this film. I think
it was in SATURDAY REVIEW OF LITERATURE.
