In his classic _Narrative_, Frederick Douglass does not reveal how it
was that he escaped bondage -- and for good reason! He does not want to
prejudice the chances of other slaves who might use the same plan/route.
However, I am curious as to whether or not Douglass *ever* wrote about
how it was that he came to escape. Any citations or ideas?
