I posed a question on the American Catholic list but did not receive any
useful replies. Having just retured from the OAH in Atlanta, I am still
curious. Each time I show Gone With the Wind in a course (about once a
year), some bright student asks why Scarlett O'Hara's family was
Catholic. Could anyone explain if this is or is not realistic?
