My experience with gaining access to county court records prompts me to
suggest that you request permission from the presiding judge or county
clerk to use these records for scholarly and scientific research. Most
states have a loophole in the law regulating use of public records
granting the presiding judge or clerk the authority to open closed records.
It is worth a try.
