I regret to inform you that George A. Reaves,
co-author of "Seeing the Elephant: Raw Recruits at the Battle
of Shiloh" passed away on Friday, April 15. Reaves was the
National Park Services's historian at Shiloh National Military
Park. Services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Savannah, Tennessee,
with internment to follow at Shiloh National Military Cemetery.
