I am finishing an MA in American History (with a concentration in
military history).

I am interested in pursuing a Phd in American History, with
particular emphasis on American military history (esp 19th century
warfare).

I would appreciate any and all input/advice from members of this list
re. PhD programs with this particular emphasis.
