_The Second Day at Gettysburg: Essays on Confederate and
Union Leadership_ edited by Gary Gallagher (1993, Kent
State University Press) contains an essay by Robert K.
Krick on Longstreet. I have not read it but, considering
Mr. Krick's reputation as a defender of Lee and detractor
of Longstreet, it should provide an interesting contrast to
the generally positive impressions of Longstreet that have
been posted so far.
