The St George Tucker Society seeks nominations for its annual M.E.
Bradford Dissertation Award, This, the third annual competition, is
open to any dissertation completed after 1 February 1993 in Southern
history, literature, folklore, etc. The award carries a cash prize of
$300 and expenses for participation in the society's annual meeting, June
9-11, 1994, in Atlanta. Nominations should come from faculty advisors or
dissertation committee members, and should be accompanied by a complete
copy of the dissertation. The deadline is 1 February 1994. Send
