professor in American History/Foreign Relations effective
August 16, 1994. The successful candidate will teach
undergraduate and graduate courses in American History; with a
specialty in U.S. foreign relations, especially with
Latin-American or Modern East Asia. He/she will also be
expected to teach a freshman-level general education
requirements course in World Civilizations. Ph.D. in History

potential. The Department of History, which has twenty-two
