Civil War Question

I read "The Lincoln Conspiracy" recently, with its Oliver Stone-like ideas
about the death of Lincoln. Stephen Oates' "With Malice Toward None" mentions
the book, but only to say that it is not accurate. He doesn't go into
specifically why. Does anyone have any ideas or knowledge of the assasination
going beyond simply John Wilkes Booth or the possibility that Wilkes was
never killed, as "The Lincoln Conspiracy" asserts? Just wondering what the
specific refutation is...
