The annual Cervantes lecture at Fordham University, The Demise of Exemplarity in Cervantes' Novelas ejemplares, was delivered by Professor Albert A. Sicroff on November 29, 1984.
In Madrid, at calle Atocha, 85, on the site of Juan de la Cuesta's press, a Museo de Cervantes is now being built by the Spanish Ministerio de Cultura. It will have several exposition rooms, an 84-seat theater, a seventeenth-century print shop (brought from Valencia), and will have a study area for Cervantists. It is hoped that by Cervantes' birthday of 1986 (April 23), the museum will open to the public (El País, May 5, 1985).
