The Business History Conference is affiliated with a number of other professional organizations:
The American Historical Association—As an AHA affiliate, the BHC is able to sponsor sessions at the AHA annual meeting (though session proposals go through the regular process and acceptance is not guaranteed); to staff a table for one day during the annual meeting; and to have organizational news posted on the AHA affiliates section of their website. To manage this relationship, the BHC has created a Liaison Committee, which also interacts with the Organization of American Historians.
H-Net (Humanities and Social Sciences Online)—The BHC is a long-standing member of H-Net through our H-Business discussion list. The BHC as an organization is also an H-Net affiliate, and H-Net hosts our web pages. Pamela Laird serves as our liaison to H-Net.
The International Economic History Association—The BHC is a member association of the IEHA, which holds a prestigious world congress every three years. Our liaison with the IEHA is Mira Wilkins.
LinkedIn Business History Group—The Business History Conference group on LinkedIn promotes easy communication between BHC members, and also between BHC members and anyone else interested in our work. The group can be used to organize conference panels, find members with particular expertise in the history of business, and find out more about the organization.
