The Research Projects Presentations Series is offered by the Buddhist Scholars Information Network (Budschol) as a way of taking advantage of the Internet in allowing scholars in the field to share information on book-length research projects in progress. The most obvious beneficiaries of this series are graduate students who are in the process of writing their dissertations, but this opportunity is open as well to any scholar in the field working on a major project. By presenting summaries of their projects, scholars will allow members of the field an advance preview of their work. They will also have an excellent chance to receive feedback, as the Budschol list has over 400 subscribers around the world.

Presenting your project:

Project Summaries should be 600 words or less (a little over one single-spaced page).

Summaries should be submitted at least one week before their planned presentation date, to allow the series editor to check for errors. At present these should be sent to acmuller@human.toyogakuen-u.ac.jp.

For purposes of list presentation, you will need to have a version of your project summary in plain text format, to make sure that everyone can read it. If you would like to mark your diacritics with ASCII encoding (e.g. "sa.msaara" etc.) that is fine, but it is not required. If you submit your material in an HTML or word processor file that has italics, diacritics, etc., this can be sent out as an attached file, and can also be attached to the presentations web site.
