MISSION:
The H-Borderlands website is part of a larger, multimedia effort to increase discussion and interaction among scholars, policymakers, and others interested in Borderlands Studies. Although the project focuses on the history, culture, politics, and contemporary affairs of the U.S.-Mexico Borderlands specifically, H-Borderlands has a comparative interest in global borderlands more broadly. Housed in the Department of History at the University of Texas at El Paso, the website is a crucial component to H-Borderlands, an internet discussion list run under the auspices of H-NET and Michigan State University. Our website provides numerous services and resources useful to a wide range of individuals and institutions interested in Borderlands Studies.
