Volume 3 . Text PDF [5.2 MB]. Edited by Adel Shafipour, 2010.
Notes:
"A 20th century chronicle of the Babi period with much quotation and reproduction of primary sources of the time from Mazandarani's fabulous personal archive and from what is now the National Baha'i Archives of Iran.
Mazandarani was, it is not generally known, a Hand of the Cause. He was officially commissioned to write his chronicle, and provided with many rare sources by the Baha'i administration.
However, when he actually published vol. 3 in 1944, conservative Baha'is such as `Ali Akbar Furutan in Iran who controlled the administration of the Baha'i Faith forced Mazandarani to apologize
for publishing primary sources at variance with the account in Nabil Zarandi's narrative, which they wished to canonize. This book was withdrawn from circulation, has never before been reprinted, and is rare." -- Juan Cole
