To Members of H-Japan who reside in or near Tokyo:
I am trying to find a way to get in touch with the International Social
Services (ISS). I do not know if it still exists or where to find the
organization if it does continue to function. One of the H-Japan members,
Elizabeth Uhlig, told me about this organization and the last she heard it
was located in an office near Toyko Tower. Among other services, the ISS
counseled Japanese women married to American (Australian and others)
servicemen. I am interested in locating case files and any other information
that they might have as my research focuses on Japanese war brides and their
immigration to the U.S.
Any leads are greatly appreciated. Please respond via private email so as
