A JAPANESE LITERATURE ANTHOLOGY PUBLISHED
An anthology of selected and translated essays from the first two Japanese
literature conferences, organized by the MAJLS (Midwest Association for
Japanese Literary Studies), was published in January, 1996, from Shinwasha
in Tokyo. The book, entitled UTA NO HIBIKI, MONOGATARI NO YOKUBO: AMERIKA
KARA YOMU NIHON BUNGAKU (Echo of poems, desire for narratives: Reading
Japanese literature from America), include the following 17 contributors:

The 334-page book (which sells at the cost of 4944 yen per copy in Japan)
