Asia and Professor of Education, University of Tennessee at
Chattanooga, lellingt@NETFRAME.utc.edu

I am very happy that H-Japan exists and look forward to participating
in various discussions. I do work and teach courses in both
economics and education. While I do research in comparative education I
view my I focus most of my time in reading the scholarship in my two fields
and conducting teacher institutes on Japan where I share that scholarship
with teachers. A project with which I am involved that might interest
H-Japan members is the new Association for Asian Studies-funded journal
Education About Asia. Our mission is to enhance classroom teaching about
Asia at all levels. If members are interested in discussing possible
manuscripts or reviews they should communicate with me directly. Lucien
