-----English Version Self Introduction----------------------------------
How do you do, all the members of H-JAPAN! (^.^)! This is a short
self-introduction.
My name is Masashi WAKAMATSU(My ID is PXB00601@niftyserve.or.jp).
I was born in Kanazawa, and graduated and did my graduate work in
Japanese history at Tohoku University -John Morris is my senior-.
I am now a Lecturer in the Faculty of Economics, Kyoto Sangyo
University. I also am a member of committee member of Nihonshi
-Kenkyukai -The Japanese Society for Historical Studies-, located in
Kyoto.
I study Japanese foreign relations in the Edo period, focusing on
the city of Nagasaki. Topics I have written on include the foreign
trade at Nagasaki, the structure of Nagasaki as a foreign trading city,
Japan's foreign trade and its links to the domestic economy. Despite my
interests in foreign trade, I am not so good at foreign languages.^^;)
Recently, I have become interested in the regional differences and
characteristics throughout Japan.
