I am Lyckle Griek, a Dutch graduate student in the Department of Education
(Comparative Education) at Hiroshima University since 1993. I am currently
working on my thesis "International Awareness Education in Japan: Attitudes
and knowledge of students at compulsory education level" Which deals with
the way how Japanese children view the world around them and to what extent
they feel part of international society.=20
Although currently into researching education, my interests cover a much
wider range of topics concerning Japan (in particular postwar-Japanese
politics).
