African Art: Roots and Routes

13th Triennial Symposium on African Art

Cambridge, Boston, and Salem, Massachusetts (USA)

March 31-April 3, 2004

The organizers of the 13th International Triennial Symposium on African Art encourage the submission of papers to be presented during upcoming meeting African Art: Roots and Routes.

The paper proposals should include:

1. Title

2. A proposal not to exceed one page describing the theme and scope of the paper

3. A short abstract not to exceed 100 words

4. Audiovisual needs such as Powerpoint, slide projectors, video, etc.

5. Contact information, including address, phone, fax, and e-mail address of the presenter

Paper proposals on topics listed in the attached description of the panels and contributions to roundtables should be sent directly to the contact person/s for each panel/roundtable.

Paper and roundtable proposals should reach the contact person/s for the panels/roundtables no later than December 1, 2003. The deadline for submission of the final panels to Christraud M. Geary, Panels Chair, is December 15, 2003.

Panel Chairs will be contacted directly by the Panels Chair, Christraud Geary about paper submission procedures.

Participants may present one paper only. If requested by panel/roundtable organizers, they may serve as discussant for one other panel or participate in a roundtable.
