Publishing with the Journal
The journal will copy edit submissions, but as we currently receive no funds
for editorial assistance, we ask that you help us keep our work load down by
thoroughly proof-reading what you send.
Because online publication is not bound by the high cost of paper, articles
can be of any length.
Preparation of Manuscripts
Notes must appear at the end of the paper as endnotes. Use superscripts to identify
the notes in the text and in the endnotes section. Please use the special facilities
provided by your word processor to create endnotes. This will facilitate document
conversion to hypertext mark-up language (HTML).
Endnotes can be in any style.
Send the file to the on-line editor as an email attachment in Rich Text Format
(*.rtf)
Authors who are using Microsoft Word on a Microsoft operating system, and have
some familiarity with HTML have the option of helping our publication process
by downloading the ICAAP word document template.
|
The ICAAP template for Windows versions of Word is available from http://www.icaap.org/resources/production/ 1. Download the file automation.zip 2. Unzip the file and placed in the folder where you keep your other Word templates. 3. When you are ready to send your work to us, attach this template to the document and use the associated macros to markup your paragraphs, convert italicised text to text in <i>...</i>, convert quotes to <blockquote>...</blockquote> tags, convert your endnotes into HTML format, and add an HTML. 4. Save the file as a text only document. 5. Please note that the endnote conversion macro places your notes in a new, separate file, which you also save as a text only file. 6. Send the two files as email attachments. Note. You will find that there are other macros attached to the
ICAAP template, but we ask that you do not use these on your documents
if you are unsure of their function. |
Sending your Work
If you choose not to use the ICAAP template, send your document as a rich text
format (*.rtf) file to the on-line editor, Dr. Paul Turnbull, as an email attachment
to paul.turnbull@jcu.edu.au
If you use the ICAAP template, your text and notes should be sent as separate text only attachments.
Images, Tables and Submissions in Hypermedia
If you plan to use images, maps or tables with your text, please contact the
editor prior to submission. Similarly, if your work employs more sophisticated
forms of hypermedia, contact the editor.
Any Questions?
If you have any questions about preparing your work for web-publication, do not hesitate to contact the on-line editor.
