The ANC archives' official repository is in the University of Fort Hare. Fort Hare is situated about an hour and a half drive from East London, in the Eastern Cape. This was chosen as an official reporsitory of because of the role the University played in shaping the thinking of most of our current leaders and also the allegience the ANC has with the University. This University because of its role in the anti-apartheid activities, has been subject to extreme repression under both the bantustan leaders and the apartheid government.

The purpose of this website is to supplement the existing ANC website, it focuses on the external missions of the ANC.
