I still find David Wootton's collection, _Divine Right and Democracy_
(Penguin) serviceable. David Cressy was working on a collection of
documents on religion and society in early modern England, but I do not know
if it has appeared yet.
David Underdown's _Revel, Riot and Rebellion_ (Oxford) is not that short,
but seems vital. Christopher Hill's _World Turned Upside Down_ (Penguin)
still inspires discussion.
