Thanks to all of you who have posted resources for study of the above
subject, especially those dealing with white servitude. If you come
across any further references (personal or printed), please forward
them. I am fleshing out ideas for an article on neurological effects of
slavery transmitted through families transgenerationally. Many
African-American researchers/writers have written on "black rage", etc.,
and I am working on expanding to a broader concept which includes more
than one race. My focus on the Irish, which is driven by interest in
personal heritage, as well as professional curiosity, is toward an
understanding of and theory about "Irish rage." Any opinions on this
topic are welcome. As well, has anyone heard of books, articles, etc. on
Irish rage/fighting irish/the concept of fiery Irishness in general?
Thanks again for resources. I enjoy the direct and to-the-point answers
to posts on this list.
Cheers,
