According to some research I have done on the town of Bristol, The
traffic in slaves occured in the 9th, 10th and into the 11th century.

James Sherborne's work _The Port of Bristol in the Middle Ages_ : U. of
Bristol, 1966 mentioned this trade briefly.

I believe that _The Little Red Book of Bristol_ might have an ordinance
or two regarding slaves. Nevertheless,I would recommend that you try to
read:
_Anglo-Saxon England_ by Sir Frank Stenton
_From Domesday Book to Magna Carta_ by Austin L. Poole
They are part of the Oxford Histoy of England series
and will lead you to other sources.

A primary source for these centuries in England.
