Description
The Durham based Phase 2 TLTP Project, Core IT Skills for Teaching & Learning
in Higher Education: Tools for the Development of a National Framework, has
produced a rationale and framework for the delivery of training and development
programmes within the context of the national higher education environment.
Mrs Audrey McCartan will offer an introduction to the project and its
methodology, and to the report, provisionally entitled Teaching & Learning in
Higher Education: the Integrative Use of IT within the Institutional Context.
Participants will be given the opportunity to identify significant factors
affecting the use of IT within their institutional context and then consider
the formulation of an action plan for further development. Participants will
also receive a free copy of the report.
About the presenter
Audrey McCartan is Head of the Education and Training Area of the IT
Service at the University of Durham. The Education and Training Area
aims to encourage, develop and support the appropriate and effective use
of IT in academic teaching, research and administration for every member
(all staff and students) of the University.
