Dr. Eileen Yeo (University of Sussex) -- author of numerous articles on the
social history of Chartism and Owenism in 19th Century Britain; co-editor
(with E.P. Thompson) of _The Unknown Mayhew_ (1971); and author of an
imminently-forthcoming history of social science in Britain -- will speak
on:
"Will the real Mary Lovett please stand up?": Gender, Autobiography and
Chartism

The seminar paper and discussion will go on till about 7.15 p.m., after
which we will adjourn to Lygon St. for a meal. Anyone wishing to be
