Elizabeth,

The films you want to use depend, I am sure, upon your readings and topics,
but here are a few suggestions for medieval history:

The Warlord (Charlton Heston as a medieval knight who receives a fief);
The Vikings (enough said although Tony Curtis as a Viking slave is
intriguing. . .);
Henry V (the 1989 version goes beyond Shakespeare's superb drama to include a
very good battle scene of Agincourt as well);
El Cid (another Heston film but interesting for its Cold War-ish
reinterpretation of the classic Spanish story);
Excalibur (possibly the best version of the King Arthur tale);
St. Augustine of Hippo (OK, it's classical but the film is superb for showing
the transformation of the Roman civilization to the Christian world).

This is all that comes to my head now but there are others.
