Does anyone know of any recent (or non-recent) archaeological studies
of pre-Christian Gaelic culture? I am particularly interested in
any studies of Ulster around the time of Christ. A king named
Conor mac Nessa ruled Ulster at the time, and this time period was
also the time of the Red Branch, a special knighthood of warriors.
This time period is also the setting for the story of Cuchulain,
a mythic figure around whom much lore has grown. Is there any
in-detail information on the history and culture of Ulster at the
time of Christ and before. My thanks in advance.
