The Editorial and Advisory Boards and the Publisher of
<i>Exemplaria</i> are pleased to confirm that the first in a series of
electronic pre-prints of essays from our forthcoming issues is now accessible
on our homepage. From now
through December 31, 1995, Susan Schibanoff's essay,
"Worlds Apart: Orientalism, Antifeminism, and Heresy in Chaucer's
<i>Man of Law's Tale</i> will be available at URL
http://www.clas.ufl.edu/english/exemplaria/schibano.html.
Interested readers are invited to consult the pre-print and to
download it for their individual scholarly use. Copyright is
reserved to Susan Schibanoff and MRTS (Binghamton University).
Print publication of the article is scheduled for volume 8, number
1 (March 1996).

As part of our experiment, <i>Exemplaria</i> is maintaining a
"mailto" link in the file for readers to communicate directly
with both Susan Schibanoff and the journal editors. All readers
interested in discussing any feature of the article or the
experiment are invited and encouraged to use the "mailto" links.

In the spring of 1996, <i>Exemplaria</i> will pre-print on its
homepage the proceedings of the Symposium on "Teaching Chaucer in
the 90s" held as part of the 1994 International New Chaucer Society
Congress in Dublin, Ireland. Guest Editor Christine Rose
(Portland State University), organizer and chair of the session
in Dublin, is assembling the papers from the Symposium
(Participants: P. Beidler, C. Folks, T. Goodman, S. Hagen, C.
Kinney, L. Patterson, D. Pinti, P. Remley, V. Richmond). A
subsequent announcement, in late December, will contain more
information about the Symposium and the pre-print.
