The MIDDLE ATLANTIC CONFERENCE ON BRITISH STUDIES will hold
its annual meeting in New York City on April 12-13, 1996. The MACBS
is seeking proposals for papers and complete sessions and also
individuals to serve as chairs and commentators. Paper proposals
may deal with any area of British history or culture and should be in
the form of a 200-word abstract. All prospective participants should
submit a curriculum vitae. The MACBS especially welcomes the
participation of graduate students in its gatherings. Materials should
be sent by February 1, 1996 to Robert Glen, MACBS Program Chair,
Department of History, Maxcy Hall, University of New Haven, West
Haven, Connecticut 06516-1999.
