I hope the group will not object to my addressing just people teaching
Old English (or related material) in Britain and Ireland. TOEBI (Teachers

conference in Durham on Saturday 11th November, 10.30 a.m.- 5 p.m. The
two themes are: Using material background in teaching OE and new
developments in teaching. Speakers: S.A.J. Bradley(York), Gale
Owen-Crocker (Manchester), Angela Evans (British Museum), Rosemary Cramp
(Durham), Felicity Currie (Manchester), Duncan Macrae-Gibson (Aberdeen),

circulated but anyone not a member is welcome to come (18 pounds includes
coffee, lunch, tea - or 16.50 if you become a member). Please contact me
as soon as possible: e-mail Ann.Squires@durham.ac.uk
