FULBRIGHT-ROBERTSON VISITING PROFESSORSHIP IN BRITISH HISTORY AT WESTMINSTER
COLLEGE, FULTON, MISSOURI, USA 1996/97

The Fulbright Commission is seeking a British Historian for the above
Visiting Professorship at Westminster College - a small, liberal arts
college in America's mid-west. This is primarily a teaching post, although
there are research opportunities both at the College and the University of
Missouri.

ELIGIBILITY: applicants must be British citizens, normally resident in the
UK; hold a PhD, and have at least one year's experience of lecturing to
undergraduate students.
POSTt: the successful candidate will teach courses on British History and
will be expected to undertake some public speaking on Britain and British
History within the mid-west under the auspices of the Winston Churchill
Memorial based at Westminster College. Award period is for 10 months
(August 1996 - June 1997).
GRANT: up to $40,000 plus round-trip travel for the grantee and up to 4
dependants, and internal travel in the USA related to lectures and
attendance at conferences.
