1) Position: American Studies exchange request

Location: Texas
I'm looking to arrange a two-semester faculty exchange with another academic
teaching in the Melbourne metro area. Someone with a teaching interest in
these areas could fill my post: American government, public law, public
administration, normative political theory or international relations. An
Australian/South Asian politics course would also be attractive. A joint
invitation might be extended from Arts and Sciences and the Baylor School of
Law. The normal teaching load here is 12 contact hours per week; four
courses/sections with 2 or 3 preparations. The Baylor academic year:
Spring-2nd week of Jan. thru mid-May, Summer1-June 1 thru July 3,
Summer2-July 5 thru the first week of August, Fall-end of August thru
mid-December. This should be a great opportunity for someone with a terminal
degree in hand and teaching experience.

Clark University invites applications for a new endowed chair
in Holocaust Studies and Modern Jewish History and Culture.
Located thirty-eight miles west of Boston at the center of New
England's academic community, Clark offers the advantages of
both a small liberal arts college and a distinguished research
university. The faculty is committed to excellence in teaching
and original research.
The Rose Professor, who will join the Clark faculty in Fall
1996, will teach introductory and advanced-level courses on
the Holocaust and on other aspects of modern Jewish history
and culture. The appointment will be made jointly in the
Jewish Studies Program and in a relevant department, such as
History. The holder of the chair will play a major role in
shaping the development of a new program in Holocaust Studies
