Early Modern Texts

I am also having a problem finding a good survey text for the 1648-1789
period (actually I'm going to start a little earlier and go a little
later). I am familiar with Peter Gay and Robert Webb, _Modern Europe:
Vol. 1: Modern Europe to 1815_, and have seen H. G. Koenigsberger,
_Early Modern Europe, 1500-1789_ in BIP. Are there other texts that
are substantial and readable?

I also recently saw a demonstration at a conference on teaching history
in Waukesha, WI, a technique where a professor used all of his documents
from the WWW instead of using a text. Has anyone else done this? I'm
just beginning to explore Mosaic and have not yet found it easy to
procure all of the documents I want to use. Maybe I simply ought to
use the Boyer volume on Early Modern Europe texts. Any thoughts?

Thanks.
