J.J. Kane's question about the current estimate of the witch-hunt's
"body-count" is one to which I would like to know the answer, but am
not well enough informed to respond fully. It may, however, be of interest to
H-Albion recipients that two years ago Ronald Hutton told me he was
working on the numbers killed during the witch hunt and that (as I recall)
he could not make the numbers come out at more than 30-40000.
