Civil War Reader

I have been asked to put together a reader on the British Civil Wars
aimed mainly for A level students. Since I have never taught A level--and
only just managed to pass it in history in 1959--I would be most
interested in hearing from colleagues who either teach or examine A level
early modern history.

I would be interested in their views on two questions.

1. Is there a need for a reader?
2. If so what should it cover? The whole of the British Isles or just
England? The causes of the war? The war itself? Its effects? Or all three?
