Subject: Idea of Africa...

I need information for my wife's thesis.
The title of the thesis is:
"The idea of Africa in the English culture of the XVI century".
I would like to know any studies about the contacts between
English men during the Tudors' reign and the inhabitants
of the African countries.

Othello, Aaron (Titus Andronicus), Black King (Battle of Alcazar)
Are three black man.
How were considered the negros in the XVI century ?
Are there works about this topic ?

Historical, Literary, Geographical news is important
and anything you think can be useful !!!!

Thank you.
