According to the Mercurius Aulicus of 14-26 April 1660 and the Diary of
John Nicoll, the maid's name was "Jone" (Joan or Jane???). This comes from
p. 390 of W.H. Dawson's bio of John Lambert. Is this where you found the
reference to the escape? Also, what is your research interest in John
Lambert? Hope this helps.
