Help! I just found out that the book I was using for an upcoming summer
course is out of print and I am in a frantic search for a new text with
very little time. Can anyone reccomend a good book (monograph or
synthesis, preferably synthesis) on the industrial revolution in
England? I would be particularly interested in a work that addresses
both the ideological framework behind industrialization and the social
consequences. The class consists of a group of continuing education
students, mostly adults, with absolutely no prior knowledge of the
subject. Thus the book would probably need to be suitable for a college
freshman. ANY suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance! Feel
