Annual Theme for 1996 - 1997
FAMILIES
and
THE STATE
The International Social Sciences Institute welcomes
applications for honorary Visiting Associateships from
scholars engaged in research in any area actively
pursued within the University of Edinburgh's Faculty
of Social Sciences, which comprises 17 Departments and
over 200 academic staff.
Intending applicants should be of doctoral standing or
equivalent.
Preference may be given to applicants intending to
base themselves in Edinburgh for a period of three
months, but shorter visits may be arranged.
The annual theme is designed to focus the work of the
Institute but in no way limits the selection of
Visiting Associates.
Visiting Associates are provided with office
accommodation and access to library and research
facilities.
