The presenters will demonstrate outstanding Web highlights for all
researchers and teachers, plus selected sites for leading disciplines.
Handouts with basic procedures and selected links (URLs) will be
distributed. The panelists will respond to questions. This advanced
introduction is for research and teaching faculty and professionals.
It is open to the public without charge, but admission will be limited
to seating capacity.

TRAVEL TO NEWARK:
Rutgers-Newark is about 4 blocks from the center of Newark, N. J.
(Broad and Market Streets).
Dana Library is in the center of the campus square bounded by
University Avenue, King Blvd. (formerly High Street), and
Bleeker Street. It is near the top of the main campus entrance
stairway on University Avenue at New Street.
A. By Public transportation:
1. Take the train, bus, or PATH to Penn Station, Newark.
2. From Penn Station to the Rutgers-Newark campus:
a. Walk west on Raymond Blvd. then right on University
Avenue (about 12 minutes).
b. Or take the Newark subway 2 very short stops to Washington
Street (use University Avenue exit) (about 2 minutes).
3. From Raymond Blvd. and University Avenue Street, walk north along
Washington St. past Golden Dome gymnasium 1.5 blocks. Turn left
at New Street and ascend wide staircase. Dana Library is ahead.
4. Take the elevator to The Dana Room (4th floor of Dana Library).
B: By car:
Newark is served by the Garden State Parkway or New Jersey Turnpike
to Route 280, the Holland Tunnel to Routes 1 & 9 (Pulaski Skyway), and
Routes 78 and 21 (McCarter H'way). Allow extra time for parking.
Route 280:
From GSP & the West: exit 14A at King Blvd., turn right, then
go 4.5 blocks (past Bleeker Street) to the campus square on left.
From NJT & the East: to second exit 15 King Blvd. then
go 4.5 blocks (past Bleeker Street) to the campus square on left.
Route 78: Exit at 21N, then left on Raymond Blvd to University Ave.
From Holland Tunnel and Route 1 and 9 South: Exit at Raymond Blvd,
then after 2 mi. right on Washington Street (2 blocks past Broad
Street), and left on New Street.
PARKING PERMITS: see University Police on University Avenue
to the left of the parking ramp. For information call Campus
Patrol, (201) 648-5581. Some space may be available in commercial
parking lots or at street parking meters.
