The obvious place to start on religious pamphlets is the work of Tessa
Watt, _Cheap Print and Popular Piety_; also Margaret Spufford's _Small
Books and Pleasant Histories_ includes information about those popular
tracts in the context of other cheap books.
WHile you watch the sailing, I watch the snow - a light fall, so
pretty rather than terrible!
