J.J. Auchmuty also wrote an excellent historiographical essay on William Edward
Hartpole (W.E.H.) Lecky, the famous Irish historian.
A biography was recently published in Ireland concerning the life and times of
Jenny Wyse Powers. If I recall correctly she was a leading mover behind the
Irish Countrywomen's Association, and is probably a descendant of Sir Thomas.
