Moderator's note: this is by way of a public apology to Sara Mendelson for the
name header which was automatically generated when her message was distributed
to the list. Her message didn't come through the moderators, since she may
have used the reply key, and the listserver seems to have generated an
incorrect name in the header ('Alan Mendelson'). I will check out what has
happened.
