I hope someone will be able to assist me in an attempt to locate, via
on-line services, some source of archival material related to my doctoral
thesis. I'm researching a New Brunswick working-class intellectual, whose
grandfather emigrated from Hull (England) in 1817. He was a shoemaker,
and so I am trying to find sources which would document any
union/trades/protest-type activity on his or his associates' part, in Hull
for his generation or preceding. I must confess I am new to internet--and
unsure as to how to proceed. Any advice would be most helpful.
