Can anyone recommend a good text on Irish history for a course which covers
the period from 1800 to the present? The class is aimed at third years and
will be the first time Irish history has been taught at this institution in 12
years, so (except for students from the Republic or the North, of which we
shall certainly have a few) the majority of students will have no background
in the subject. Thanks for any suggestions.
