For the person looking for something on Irish place-names there is a
paperback A DICTIONARY OF IRISH PLACENAMES by Adrian Room published by
the Irish press Appletree Press. I believe it is still available and you
might check Irish Books and Media of St. Paul Minn. It is not an
exhaustive work however and deals less with the pronunciation than the
meanings of the places and some history. It does have a biblio.
